He is currently the director of the Education Unit at A.M. Qattan Foundation- Ramallah, which is a non-for-profit organization. He is also a part time instructor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education at Birzeit University, Palestine.

He earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Science Education- Philosophy of Science, from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign/USA, and his MA in Education and B.Sc. in Chemistry from Birzeit University, Palestine. He is a researcher in STEAM education, Science and Drama in Early Childhood, and a principal author for many research articles published nationally and internationally in the field of in-service professional development, nature of science, curriculum design and evaluation, information technology, science and early childhood.
